KANBAN
KANBAN or Consignment Stocking is the way forward for Customers who have regular ongoing production requirements and need confidence that parts will be available at short notice.
How it works
Where a commitment can be made by the customer on a forward demand, e.g. 1200 parts over the next 12 months, Ashby Engineering undertake to make approximately three months of stock, typically 300, replenishing this as it runs down (normally at the last 100 of stock). The customer calls off the parts when required, knowing that they are always in stock and available for delivery at short notice.

- Eases cash flow as customers only pay for the parts called off
