Established for over thirty years, this family owned business employs people from Abingdon and the surrounding towns and villages, building a wealth of expertise in a wide range of materials and applications.

Three years ago, Ashby Engineering acquired a business in Reading, Berkshire - now known as Reading Precision Engineering. This adds to our mix of talented machinists and assembly engineers, most of whom have been working within the Ashby Group for many years, and are experts in their field.

Our client list includes some of the UK’s leading blue chip organisations, from the Medical Diagnostics, Anesthesia, Artificial limbs through to Formula 1 and high-end sensor technology.  We also work for Global Customers for Consumer Goods through to Instrumentation.

A significant investment in 25 CNC machines across the Ashby and Reading businesses has extended the capacity at Ashby Engineering. We are able to offer low cost machining which is now fully operational for 24 hours. This has successfully given us the capability to compete head to head with Eastern European and Far Eastern operations at a competitive price.
